Two indentures dated November 15, 1788, serving as binding land deed contracts in the purchase of two different parcels of land in Saint Albans, Vermont. One denotes a sale from Levi Allen of St. John's, Quebec to Asa Wyman and the other is from Levi Allen to Asa Wyman for Timothy Rogers. This collection also includes a typescript with a list of other indentures of Saint Albans, Vermont.

Levi Allen was born on January 16, 1745, in Cornwall, CT, the fourth son of Joseph and Mary (Baker) Allen. Like his brothers, Levi was involved in land speculation and he purchased a tract of land and a house in Vermont though he never lived there. Unlike his brothers, Levi was not as ardent to the cause of the American Revolution and refused to identify himself with the Green Mountain Boys.
